Ladies, gets your butts over the the nearest newsagent! Issue 46 of ImagineFX came out in the UK today and their news feature this month is on women in digital art. Mentioned are *quickreaver, *Zephyri, and best of all (shut up, I'm biased) *Mercuralis and myself for our women-in-fantasy blog Artemisia!.

I've been so excited about this all month and bolted straight to the store to pick it up first thing this morning. ImagineFX is read by a lot of young artists and if we can help even a handful of them to realise just how many talented women there are in the industry, I'll be very happy.

On another note, I've completely missed the Kick Your Own @$$ contest without even starting my entry, but I think I'm still going to go for it just for me, with the piece I'd originally picked out for this.



...Ok, stop laughing.

I wasn't that bothered about the contest itself, but I loved the idea and the thought of redoing my first ever Photoshop painting.

(Ok, and the possibility of winning a subscription, since mine expired today. I had every intention of stubbornly sticking it out until I got sick of ads before I realised I needed a sub to keep the header and footer in my journal. So I signed up for another three months. I'm too easy.)
